I honestly don't know how a manager can possibly feel satisfied with what he's seeing these days and then claim it's entertainment and that this group of players is doing a good job, does he not watch the matches?

Anyway we qualified but really would have been good to have got a convicing win, just to lift confidence, yes we're getting some wins, but they're mostly narrow and we're building zero momentum at all, when is the last time anyone can remember Arsenal going on a run of games where we've beaten most teams out of sight and looked like a really good team, I can't personally remember.
    Long time ago.

Can anyone remember when they used to get nervous jitters before the game, or hatched elaborate plans to get out of social events so you wouldn't miss the match? Long time ago.

There was a Serb fan on AFTV last night being interviewed and he made some good points. Football has been sanitised and commoditised out of meaningful existence in this country. It has consumed its own purpose and all that's left is the jazzed up packaging. It's a non-event posed as the latest, greatest event of all time. All for the money. I watch out of habit and nothing else and the only thing I feel beyond the unbearable boredom is anger. Football's actually bad for me now. I'll have to stop watching it. Thanks to scum like Kroenke.

I don’t know if I’d quite say lucky escape. Their striker should have buried one chance but the fact that he didn’t is why he’s playing in Serbia to begin with.
It wasn’t a wipe sweat from your brows phew encounter, it was totally sedate and played at the kind of casual level which presented them with one or two chances a decent side may have taken, but they aren’t.

Insistence on playing players out of position to rigidly fit one formation, Walcott seems to have lost any rudimentary Football skill he ever had. Wilshere was ok I guess but it’s a complete waste of time if no one else wants to even try and play at his level.

Maitland Niles had a fairly ok cameo, out of all the youngsters he looks the only one with promise

This club is a soulless pit now thanks to those who run it.

To think, be careful what you wish for was the common retort amongst the apologists.

No team thrashes the opposition week in, week out. Well...OK, City have been going a bit mental this year but that is very much the exception, not the rule.
Our wins are not mostly narrow in terms of scoreline. Please don't cherry pick examples, I could do the same.
The results of late have been generally good but we aren't looking convincing. I've pretty much written off the next two league games, they will tell us more than anything we've seen recently.

    Agree with this.
It's why I don't watch any more. Or very rarely.

I bet if I'd have taken up train spotting as a hobby that cunt Kroenke would have shut down the railways.

No, just charged you £70 to stand on the platform and made sure only one train passes through the station every 2 months.
And charged you £10 for a pie and bovril if you want to stay warm.
Would have been a lovely platform though.

Sounds alright really. Better than his sports franchises. Quite like Bovril.
