    Yes, fairly recently.

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

I don't understand the last sentence. Surely all countries have professional referees?

Not all refs are professional. Refs over in the Prem weren't professional either. They were part timers and held down other jobs as teachers, police officers or whatever else.

    Most were full time asswipes.

For some reason I liked Paul Durkin, he seemed fairly even handed and unpretentious. There was also the one guy who dared to issue red cards at OT. but was soon not heard from again. His name escapes me. Edit: Alan Wiley.

    Durkin was a decent referee

For the most part I don’t mind Michael Oliver but he had an absolute stinker during the 2016 fa cup final

I'm sure Wenger's inspirational presence on the touchline will really be missed by the players.

The one thing that is never tolerated is pointing out how corrupt they are. They always come down like a ton of manure to snuff out even a suggestion of the truth.

100% corruption in the league in some way, shape or form.

There's been corruption in Italy, Germany and France. The premier league is the biggest and richest league. You'd be naive to think there's no corruption.
