How does every "resting him as a precaution" minor, hardly even an injury, injury end up keeping our players out for weeks or months on end? I suppose the punishment Alexis has taken over the past few months had to take a toll, but why not say he's injured rather than playing it down?

He is being Wengered out, in other words Wenger wants the players to show they can win without Alexis.

It's all part of Wenget's timeshare programme.

Alexis goes out, Welbeck comes back.

I wouldn't take a draw now. They have 2 players of any note doing anything right now, Eriksen and Kane......some slow ass punks. I'm backing us to win and I actually don't think Sanchez being out will prove costly though I'd obviously rather have him in this game than the Leicester one.

Our form is much more impressive than theirs. They have a top goalie as we all know too, but Ospina has barely done a lot wrong himself.

I would be so much more confident if Sanchez, Ox and Welbz were our starting front three in this one. They have pace and work ridiculously hard pressing from up top and tracking back.

Carzola, Rambo and Coq have to o be disciplined and on top of their game, as they have been recently. Spurs only have one game plan ..pace and more pace, ball to Kane or Erikssen. We need to stop them releasing that ball to them and if they do, we need to make sure Kane and Erikssen are shut down at all times.

A draw should be the minimum and if we work our socks off, shut them down ..then we can definitely win.

It's a game that can go either way, they scored five against Chelsea and so have to be taken seriously, we are on good form and if we defend like we did against city we can shut them out.

I can see it being a draw, though with difficult fixture for United and Southampton going off the boil, three points could see us third by the end of the weekend. For me we are the third best side in the country and that's where we should be

Sanchez is a miss, but in goslscoring terms he has only scored four away from home compared to eight at the Emirates (in the league).
