He's problems are self inflicted, so many of his injuries have come from him overstretching in a tackle where he has over run the ball. Yeah to be honest, he's not managed to stay fit and hasn't really proved himself much, had a few decent games this season but in the last few games he's been as bad as anyone.

Doesn't really deserve a pay rise to be honest and if he believes in himself then he'd believe he can earn the bonuses to top up his salary. He's replaceable IMO, whether we replace him properly is another thing, but he is replaceable.

If he leaves then clearly his love for Arsenal won't be quite as strong as the draw of the money, he's still getting good money and has earnt a lot off the back of the club when he's barely played.
