Honestly think with a better defence (which is arguably as much about coaching as personnel) we won't be that far away.

yes we have scored a lot of goals but sometimes it is also who they were scored against. of the top 5 teams we have won once. I don't think we can compete if we cant be the best teams. I don't think any manager would be able to turn the team into champions unless there is another season like when Leicester won it. But I do expect a new manager to get us to finishing above Spurs and Chelsea.

Everyone plays everyone else, our home record is good enough for us to be "up there". If our away record was half decent we'd be top 4 or thereabouts.

I'm sure I remember one season when we were better away than at home. Consistency is the key, we don't have it, therefore we are not good enough.

We're miles away from being contenders, yesterday we played a team who had 10 mean or 80 odd minutes and in that time we only managed one goal, on top of that we then go and concede, it's a dreaful result all things considered.

The keeper is past it, the defence is plain awful, we literally have to start again, we need a DM and probably need to bring in a genuine winger so we can have some width, on top of that we need some squad and not 2nd rate players like Welbeck who you could create a compilation of horrendous misses for, we ned quality, reliable backups.

Wenger has left us in a terrible state.
