How are we supposed to break back into the top 4, when we can't beat teams like Sheffield United? What is our 'style' now?

We have one of the quickest forward lines in Europe, but when the ball gets forward through the midfield, it then goes backwards to the CB's.... Why? Nothing to do with the 3 CM/DM we have, I guess.
