I also read that there will be no FA Cup replays next year. Think I vaguely approve although I did like a good Cup Replay back in the day.
We won the 93 Final in a replay of course which I think we can all agree was thoroughly enjoyable, but it is a bit weird being at an FA Cup Final replay on a Thursday night.

I was in Florida during that FA Cup. There was no opportunity for me to watch it live. So I asked my girlfriend (now wife) to take it for me.

I avoided learning the score which was piss easy in the States back then.

When I got home she said she had to tape it on two cassettes which was the giveaway that it went to replay.

Still, I watched it all.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

It was the first big final I was at.
And my uncle, who is otherwise a bit of a dick, heroically queued for tickets so dad and me could go to the replay too.
I remember having to rush around finishing Uni stuff so I could get back for it.

Favourite memory from that night - the Linighan goal aside - was I got chatting to some old bloke who was sitting next to me.
When the replay went to extra time I noted that the Wednesday players were all sitting down and our players were standing up.

I said to the old boy next to me "That's good psychology. Graham's got our players standing up, makes it look like we're not as tired as them"

The man said "He probably thinks that if he lets them sit down they won't be able to get up again!".

It was a pretty good night tbf.
