I paid £420 each for 2 tickets to the Olympics Athletics in 2012. This was before we were married and my defence was "But this is a one off, and you want to spend £600 on fireworks at our wedding and that's a one of too, so..."
The fireworks were pretty good. And so was the athletics.
If you can afford it then why not? I'm all for having experiences. But yes, if/when England bollox it up then you're going to look a bit silly, but it's still a Euros semi-final, so...
