Well there is, incompetence….it’s a packed penalty area and they are under pressure to give a decision quickly and by the time they’ve spotted what’s going on it’s too late. Sometimes bias can seep in as well, oh this player has made the most of that etc.

I hope there isn’t a habit of overlooking this kind of behaviour.

It’s a good point about the time pressure.
The endless slow motion replays from multiple angles really exposed how poor referees are.
But they only get to see the incident once in real time.
There is less excuse with VAR, but there is still the time pressure we don’t have after the game.

I can understand Taylor missing it in real time. Ball coming into the box, lots of bodies etc, thats fair enough.

But when the var operator sees multiple angles showing a spurs player throwing the Chelsea player to the ground by pulling his hair and deciding no action? That’s just not acceptable.

Presumably there would have been communication to Taylor where VAR states we think a player pulled another’s hair here so checking and he should have stepped in to say, if there is a hair pull then red card

Last season they took 5 minutes looking for an excuse to disallow a Martinelli goal, couldn't find one, disallowed it anyway.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

I haven’t seen the incident we are talking about.
But one thing that grinds my gears.
Let’s be charitable and say it is incompetence.
Why is there never any consequence? It doesn’t seem to matter how inept they are, there they are again the next week officiating in another game.

There was a consequence, Graeme Souness becoming tumescent and saying how a man pulling another man’s hair is part of the “man’s game” which whilst it irritates the feminist lesbians in the woman's game as a plus…it demonstrates how cheating is considered a good thing amongst certain people…fine but then don’t have the rules in the first place.

On another lovely note, United fans on Twitter are flirting with “Hitler was right” in regards to the fact that the Glazers are Jewish….both Indian and Irish fans decrying them for penny pinching (really…??) because of course it’s a massive shock that Hindu and Irish nationalists are anti Semetic.

I hate to think what will happen if they lose to Liverpool (should be when they lose to Liverpool)…selling copies of Hitler’s War by David Irwin outside Old Trafford?

Little Taki. Yeah we sold him to Monaco this summer, £15m so doubled our money. He was decent, could never really impost himself in the league but was brilliant in the cups last year tbf.
