Nice to win a game comfortably and feel like there’s still another couple of gears in us.

A useless stat, but this is the first time we’ve won our first three fixtures since 2004
Given the fixtures we’ve had it was important to hit the ground running and we’ve done just that. But we won’t get many (if any) easier games than today.
The only real downside about today was Jesus’ goal being disallowed.
I’m back in the UK.
I haven’t seen a nanosecond of any of our matches.
If it all goes to shite when I watch, I’ll set fire to all my devices.

I wouldn’t pay it too much mind
One of the people here has a hate boner for Saka largely because he thinks the praise he gets amongst Arsenal fans and in the media is because he’s young and English….now this is probably true to a degree and it’s fair to say Saka hasn’t really been anywhere near his best for a while.
He won’t admit it of course (but he’s a Scottish nationalist so you can’t expect rationality) but equally I think there is some self awareness behind his nonsense
I would say given the state of the UK, it’s government and the calibre of what is going to replace the fucking joke of a PM, being a Scottish Nationalist is the entirely rational choice.
If there were a London Nationalist party, they’d get my vote.

No it’s utterly short term thinking that is far more based on the toxic anti English sentiment those utter scumbags in the SNP have been fermenting rather than a objective look at the situation. The thing is Scotland has every right to choose to be an independent country and I think there is definitely an argument to be made about the disconnect between Westminster and Alba.
However I think people tend to be tribal about things, that just because the Tories are capricious and venal that the people opposed to them are any better (when in fact if anything they are worse).
Don’t get me wrong when it comes to Mandela, the whole angry Scotsman jibe is intended purely to bait him (he sensibly won’t bite anymore). But I know Scotland well, the SNP have ruined that country and every single time the question is asked of them why they are neglecting education, neglecting the drug death epidemic it’s always their recourse to blame Westminster. The only positive thing of note is that as terrible as Nicola Sturgeon is she’s far less vile than Alex Salmond. That man is human flotsam.
The situation in Scotland and England is analogous, people choose the SNP because of their dislike for the other parties and down here they choose the Tories because Labour is not fit to govern.
What does “fit to govern” mean?
If what we’ve lived through the past 12 years is “fit to govern”, then fuck that.
