Wrong. Gabriel has been an almost ever present in a team that is defying expectations, and is clearly highly regarded by our manager. Fallling into the 'narrative' that he is a liability because of some 'high profile' mistakes ignores the fact that he is the perfect foil for Saliba (who has also made mistakes but is flavour of the month so these are largely glossed over) - doing the dirty work to cover him - which is a good blend for CM's. Our defensive performance this season has been just as much the reason behind our success as our attacking threat, and all defenders make mistakes - particularly when you hold the high line that our team does.
Plus Gabriel is left footed (rare commodity), poses a goal threat and has the passion and committment that the team is thriving on - as witnessed by his goal scoring responses to setbacks.
Is he the complete player, no. Are there elements of his game that can be improved on at 24 years old? Of course. But the manager clearly believes that this can and will happen. Average? Absolutely not.

He’s a very good defender but also happens to be one of those players who can create chaos out of nothing.
People often forget how good a keeper Jens was because he was a fucking nutter.
It is what it is.
Agree with IBK, there's a lot of nonsense talked about Gabriel
Doubt it.
If you're talking about me you can say my name, mate.
Anyway, resigning Saka, and the others makes financial sense.
Saka's value peaked about a year ago anyway. People are wakening up to him being possibly the greatest hype job ever, so they missed the ideal point to sell him.
Hopefully he improves drastically though and becomes deserving of a.place in the team.
Great business on Gabriel. Definitely a little raw still and I doubt he'll ever be a great 'player' but he'll certainly do a job as a big athletic CB, which are always good to have.

Do you believe that Henderson used racist language?
