I meant that more in response to the idea of actually putting out a team of academy players rather than the team we have put out which of course is a competitive team. This is the kind of game that’s a win-win because it’s a total free hit. If we lose oh well no more league cup games to play, if we win well hopefully that means we have a bit of strength in depth and players that can score goals outside of the first XIOriginally Posted by Mac76
don't think so - and anyway i think most of those players hav featured in the PL this season so it's not like they're all total Academy kids
and yes i would also have rested Saliba but good that no-one else is out there
even Xhaka isn't playing
good work by Arteta here - no shame in losing to Brighton but if we win it ill be good encoureagemenrt for those players and he should stick with that team for the LC
