You're right, but it's a bloody stupid law.
How is Rashford not affecting the play there? The defender lets Rashford go, knowing he's offside, and then Fernandez nips in as Rashford is right next to the ball. I'd have been bloody fuming had that goal been given against us. The offside rule is insane these days, no-one understands it and it's so subject to interpretation. Rashford's run and offside position clearly affects how the defenders and 'keeper play.
