I’m seeing too many rumours linking us with Mason Mount. Arteta and Edu can fuck off with that shit. We want the squad improved
To be fair he fits the profile of what we’d probably want.
I think because he’s a Chelsea boy that might cloud our judgement, but I’ve always felt he was decent technically and very good in transitions. Not saying we can’t do better but I think if the interest is true, it’s probably because we’ve earmarked him as a Xhaka replacement given the role he’s played this season suits the kind of player Mount is.
I don’t care who he plays for. If I thought he was a good player I’d want to sign him. I think too many people had the negative attitude towards Jorginho because he played for Chelsea but I was one of those who thought he was a useful squad signing and I think that’s been borne out.
I think Mount is shit, if he didn’t have that brief spell of looking ok three years ago he wouldn’t keep getting called up to the England squad. I absolutely want an upgrade on Xhaka, Mount is not it
I felt exactly the same about Jorg (I really must stop agreeing with you, it doesn't feel right) but truth is i've always thought Mount was a bit of an arsehole and too inclined to use the dark arts, although tbf we probably need some more of that so maybe it would be useful
I've not watched enough of Chelsea to know how good he is these days but as they said on the post-Chelsea Arsecast, we're maybe looking to offload some of our English players (Holding, ESR, maybe Eddie) so I'm guessing they're having to look at replacements to satisfy the 'home-grown' quota
One for the Zin fanboys - just saw this on Twitter - we get more goals without him and he generally doesn't improve the side when playing

One thing I would note, he hasn't missed that many games this season. I mean, he's played in all the games we lost in the league.
Is it really valid to say we'd have done better against City if he hadn't played? Seems like a stretch.
So I think you need to be a bit careful with stats like this, you're not really comparing like for like.
I don't have a dog in this fight, I don't watch enough games to have a really strong opinion either way. Love his passion though.
no, you've pointed out that we have only lost when he's playing, some people might say there's somethig in that.
and yes, given City bypassed our midfield, where Zin's supposed to make a difference, thereby making him irrelevant, then Tierney would have been a better option as he does at least offer more in defence and, I'd argue, in attack
