No it's a goal by the scorer, obvs, but if the keeper saves it then it's good work by them, yes ok it might be sometimes a weak pel but it's still a save, tbh even if the striker misses the target, it's a double hit, your player has failed to get the goal points and then is ALSO docked points

If you miss from 12 yards doesn’t matter if it’s saved or you find Row Z, you’ve goofed.

Yes there are phenomenal penalty saves but they aren’t the norm, and you can’t really expect a fantasy football algorithm to factor that in.

Even with great saves, the penalty taker has made it possible by either not hitting with another power, hitting straight at the keeper or telegraphing where they are going to put it.

Because if you’re a goalscorer (which penalty takers usually are) and you’ve failed to do your primary job when you’ve had the chance handed to you on a plate, it’s pretty much like a defender conceding a penalty.

That’s my fault for predicting Wolves win. They’re going down.

Plus I’m still a bit salty with Brighton for beating us 3-0. The annoying thing is I swapped out Timber for Estupinian but I did it after the deadline…so I won’t get the points for him scoring, but the dozy bugger will probably get red carded next week.
