I remember I was at a Remain rally outside Parliament one evening during the EU-related votes and some pro-leave fascists were singing the national anthem to try to drown out one of the speakers - I despise that type of behaviour and that goes both ways

But fuck me after just six weeks of Liz Truss he was something of a deliverance.
What I love is the people on the right chiding him as not a proper conservative. What? Compared to who? Johnson? Who was clearly the most liberal Tory since Harold MacMillan.
Sunak is pretty right wing. He’s a dyed in the wool Thatcherite, he actually genuinely supported Brexit (unlike Liz Truss) and he’s done his uptmost to make this pointless and expensive Rwanda scheme work
None of those things are things I’d go out and vote for, but that’s pretty right wing guys. It seems all they want is vibes rather than policy.
