    The blues will be crushed.

Its not the fault of Sunak or Liz Truss, its that blundering fool who had partys during covid and then lied about it.

    I despise him.

I think it was Liz Truss. When Johnson left office, the Tories were not in a double digit deficit. The position was completely recoverable.

This is the consequence of letting grassroot supporters choose the prime minister of the country

See as funny and terrible as the optics are. I don’t like people like Steve Bray thinking he has the right to interrupt major announcements like this. Guy should have been sectioned years ago

Not the last bit but yes I agree, democracy means allowing each side, however pathetic/obnoxious etc, to be able to speak

I remember I was at a Remain rally outside Parliament one evening during the EU-related votes and some pro-leave fascists were singing the national anthem to try to drown out one of the speakers - I despise that type of behaviour and that goes both ways

To be fair, you might still look forward to the football even if the national side isn’t in it

You get to a certain point and you feel sorry for the bugger.

I think he’s weak, out of touch and in many ways tone deaf to the problems this country has

But fuck me after just six weeks of Liz Truss he was something of a deliverance.

What I love is the people on the right chiding him as not a proper conservative. What? Compared to who? Johnson? Who was clearly the most liberal Tory since Harold MacMillan.

Sunak is pretty right wing. He’s a dyed in the wool Thatcherite, he actually genuinely supported Brexit (unlike Liz Truss) and he’s done his uptmost to make this pointless and expensive Rwanda scheme work

None of those things are things I’d go out and vote for, but that’s pretty right wing guys. It seems all they want is vibes rather than policy.

Alright. Now I’m laughing. He visits the Belfast dockyard museums where at one time the White Star line operated and Titanic was constructed.

Inviting questions about captaining a sinking ship
