Started watching a bit late, but it has been pretty predictable.
Unfortunately, the best chances have all fallen to Odegaard in the middle and most of them were wasted thanks to his usual 30 nano seconds delay.
Everton have dealt brilliantly with every ball we've lobbed over which is usually 98% of our attacking play anytime Havertz starts a game. I wish they could just take a cue from how they played against Forest and try a few ground balls, even Havertz would probably benefit more from that.
Its not looking to good, Everton seems to have our attack totally figured out and it looks like only a mistake from them will get us ahead. But then you have to hope the mistake falls to the right player, which at the moment is only one person.
As for subs...not sure. Merino has had a good game but maybe Partey could still be helpful. Trossard for Martinelli as usual....but most importantly it would have been great if we had another striker we could have brought on.
We could also try bringing in Nwaneri in earlier....who knows some of the chances that fell to Odegaard could have fallen to him and by now we'd be celebrating .
Here's hoping for the best anyway.
