AA being out is an issue in itself because it prevents Liverpool using that lofted ball out wide to Salah quite so much because nobody else has the quality to deliver it, apart from Van Dijk..

Not that we were filing on all cylinders with him either, but it completely hamstrings us since the huge majority of our play comes down the right and Quansah isn't a particularly stellar centre half let alone wing back (and will be a major issue next season, as good as Bradley is/will be). Couple that with Jota and Diaz being woefully out of form, and a midfield (and wider team, but most especially the midfield) running on fumes and it has the same feeling as this time last season.

It's extremely hard to keep at the level you've been for most of the season, for the whole season.
