I small victory in the first of many battles but a sweet. Fuck BT Sport by the way. Missed this game so can't say much at all. Just good to see us wind up Jose.
As an indicator of how the season will go it tells us absolutely nothing, but I think it's important to prove we can beat that clinical narcaccist.
In the past be it league cup, league or community shield we have come up short every time.
But yeah agree one battle from many.
I know its only the community shield, but we had a near full team out there, only alexis missing, and so did they, bar Costa. They wanted to win, it was a tough, but we beat them fair and square. Its the confidence they seem to have at the mo that pleases me, long may it continue.
As for the non-handshake, well i dont blame Wenger. Mour has done nothing but bad mouth him/arsenal in the press over and over, while wenger just took it. Wenger must be soooo happy to beat that moaning little fucktard.
Felt we played quite well, we defended very well and broke with poise. In the grand scheme of things winning the Community Shield doesn't mean a lot but the fact we ground out a win and beat them can only be good for team morale and belief.
Mentality this team looks ready to me, we just need to be consitent and get off to a good start. If we keep a relatively fit squad together then I maintain we should at the very least put in a proper title challenge.
This really got to that snivelling little prick today. That whole thing at the end was designed purposely to highlight Wenger not shaking his hand because he couldn't handle the defeat. Wenger avoided him at the end of the game and he waited and waited because he couldn't get over the fact that even in victory, Wenger didn't want to press palms. So sit and wait in front of all the camera's, make himself look 'dignified' and force Wenger into a handshake, to gain a little victory because he couldn't on the pitch, or try to make Wenger look bad. He just can't get rid of that superiority complex that obsesses him.
