They're not even sitting deep though. We're just playing poorly. We've had a fair amount of offside calls against us and that at least shows there is space behind if we get our passing together.
No striker could do much with these tactics. Walcott has been isolated, chasing around after the ball. We've been hoofing shit-bombs up the pitch, there's no pace, the passing is gone, or key playmakers are nowhere and the manager is sat on his arse watching it all unfold.
Watford are a bull in a china shop, you need guile, precision, direct and fast play to exploit them. Tapping it square in front of their massed ranks of farmhands is exactly what they would have hoped we'd do.
