With dirty money from the Saudi's reaching into every part of the game the surprising thing is it's taken so long to get to have a public face at the top.
Should we be impressed that their skulduggery and corruption is more nuanced and less publicly blatant than Blatter, Platini and the FA's?

Unless he's been misinterpreted or the interview just plain made up; it seems he's said that it was agreed before the "election" to hold 2018 in Russia and 2022 in America until Platini, Sarkozy and... some Qatar guy got involved and swung the votes. That had America got it none of this would be happening. And you know what, he's probably right. Even if it was completely corrupt, and I think I'm being generous by saying 'if', at least there's a case for Russia to have it. But Qatar? That was too far even for them.
