If we are still in the hunt in January (and it looks like we will) then Wenger has no excuses this time, if he doesnt strengthen properly and give the team the needed quality to go and win the title, then he HAS to be sacked, simple.

Anybody can beat anybody this season, some of the results have been very surprising and it will continue to be like that. We cannot stand still waiting for the dead men to come back, we have to go for it properly.

I've got a feeling he will buy next month. I think this wave of injuries has fucked with his plans more so than any other year.

Wenger is going to have break from his "philosophy" and pay inflated fees to potentially save our season. He has absolutely no excuses not to buy in the January Window. He simply has to because we can't rely on what we currently have in Midfield even when the likes of Wilshere, Arteta & Rosicky come back.

Edited to add: I do have a horrible feeling that Wenger won't buy though, I think he'll say that Wilshere & Rosicky is enough to cover for Santi and that in Midfield we have Ramsey, Flamini, Arteta & Chambers, there was even talk of Iwobi playing in Midfield, saw some article on the website about how he's been excelling in that position for the U21's.

Wenger won't buy IMO and even if he does it won't be anyone who'll make an ounce of difference, we've heard it all before from him.

By the time January comes 12 of our players will be "very close to returning" (i.e. should be back within 6 months) and he won't find anyone of the quality he requires (a nonsense term he uses when he doesn't want to buy but wants to pretend that he's trying his best).

He won't pay a penny over the value he puts on a player which is often much lower than any decent club would sell unless they were absolutely desperate, in addition most decent clubs won't let players go in January unless they get an offer they can't refuse as in all likelyness they won't find a replacement.

Let's not kid ourselves anymore like we do ever transfer window, I've heard allsorts banded about every year and all that happens is we end up disappointed when we sign noone or some crock like Kallstrom. Wenger isn't some normal manager who see's his squad is short and tries to fix it with transfers, he's a guy that tries to fix it with delusional ideas, ridiculous belief in the players he's assembled and square pegs in round holes tactics.

As a great man once said, fool me once, shame on..shame on me

I don't think we will sign anyone in January, we will still be at the top or near the top of the league and we all know that only if our CL place is under threat do we really push the boat out. He will see the fact that no team can get a consistent run together as a chance despite the injuries and with players returning like Wilshere and Welbeck in the new year, why sign anyone.

Interesting though we are behind United and level with City on the injury list table.

Yeah, I don't think we'l sign anyone of note either. And I agree if we fall away because of it he should be sacked.

He should be sacked if we fall away, regardless of signings.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

Only reason we haven't fallen away already is everyone else bought a self destruct button in the summer. My benchmark for the minimum acceptable standard is 2 points per game, which is what we are on. The chavs and gypos are having shockers considering the levels of investment and the same could be said for the chequebook flop at Utd. Hence Leicester are leading the way. I almost hope they win it. They won't, but it'd be such a laugh if they did. Pellegrini, Maureen, Wenger and van Genius against the wall and a firing squad to do their duty.

Well yes, but if we do the lack of signings will most likely be the biggest factor.

I would love it, just love it, if Leicester win it.
    But no, they won't.

I can't work out of the top sides of got worse or 'the others' have got better and made it all more competitive.
