Actual speculation on Van Gaals future?....that's actually ridiculous. No the guy hasn't done a great job there but he's had a stabilising effect on them and despite some pretty crummy results of late, they aren't in a position where his immediate future should be in doubt.
United only define success as winning the league, if they're not seen as progressing to that stage any manager they have is going to feel the weight of expectation and eventually buckle. I think the worst thing for their fans though is the outlay on players and seeing such dire football. They might be horrible Mancs but they like us appreciate good football, LVG's tactics aren't good enough for them by any stretch, he's a dinosaur of the game who hasn't been relevant for a good few years.
Whilst I agree with everything you've just said, I also think there are no grounds for immediate dismissal. I think come the end of the season I think they are well within their rights to say this isn't working, but the speculation seems to be about his immediate future which I think is counter productive
He's literally spent close to 250 million pounds for negligible improvement since Moyes left. The football they play is absolutely shit on a stick poor, they create very few chances a game instead opting for sterile possession and "dominating the stats" and he's sucked the creativity out of their attacking players like Mata. They're terrible and that's been exposed when they've actually come up against a good team on their game like us and Wolfsberg.
If it wasn't for De Gea and an amazing amount of luck and jamminies (seems that may be ending now) they would be close to mid table right now.
Can understand why the fans want him out tbh, however for our sake I hope he stays there for a long time.

Unless they have a serious candidate lined up, they might as well stick with him. He's well passed his sell by date but the players need to sort their game out as well.
