True in regards to the investment issue but I wouldn't have started Ox or Giroud for this sort of game. Ox has a poor record when it comes to end product. Just look at that poor shot.

We have Welbeck, Walcott and Campbell to choose from. I knew he'd play Giroud even though I could see him having a really quiet game.

Ox was mostly there to defend and track back. He's not done too bad in our half, problems start when he gets over the halfway line. Theo way too lazy to do that job and I suppose he though Welbeck wouldn't be up to it yet in terms of match fitness. That's why I'd have played Ramsey there and put Elmo in the centre. Ramsey could have done the work and been less of a fuck up in Barca's half. I mean we've played Sanogo in the CL before so what does he have against playing Elmo, or you, or me?

A very well controlled first half by us. Had there been better finishing, we'd be looking at 1-1 here.

If we can keep them off the scoreboard in the 2nd half - which is a big ask, the ref may have a bit of work to do at the Nou Camp.
