I don't think you can fault (most of the time) Giroud for his effort and willingness to fight the knuckledraggers that pass for defenders in this league. Half the time he's having the shirt ripped off his back. I don't think he's learned the finer arts of cheating so he's at a big disadvantage. But ultimately he's second tier so that's a handicap when we really need the vital goal. Unfortunately he's still our best striker so he has to start, especially with Theo being between contracts.
