The trouble is that it's a bit of a catch 22. We'll probably have a new manager in a year or 2, so if you give up a season ticket or gold/silver membership now you there's no chance in hell you're going to reach that level of membership again for years, if at all.

Apart from showing disdain at the games, there really isn't much else people can do if they want to remain match going fans in the future.

Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..

That's if Sky Sports is still around in 2088.

You are more likely to see breaking news: Arsene Wenger signs contract extension keeping him at the club until (pick your own date).

If that happens it will tell us everything we need to know (and already suspect) about Kroenke. And it will confirm he's a stupid man too. A significant number of fans are going to walk away from this if it drags on - to be replaced by tourists, yes, but tourists don't give you repeat business. Players are going to walk away too. If Wenger gets a new contract it means Kroenke is so greedy and so out of the loop that nothing much matters anyway. Club will be dead if that happens.

I honestly think he believes there will be enough people who will renew their season tickets come what may, combined with tourism and combined with tv money that it won't matter. Wenger I think will consider doing the noble thing and stepping down but I don't think he will be able to let go. Gazidis aside, no one at the club has any footballing knowledge and the reason they are scared of getting rid of Wenger is because they literally have no idea what they'd do after that because they have deferred everything to him.

    Thats the biggest concern.

the reason why i cant see us going for a manager like Simeone is because guys like him are all about day to day coaching and football on match day, the board want Wenger to stay on forever as he does everything for them in terms of money.

don't really care too much, I might watch it but I think masterchef is on at the same time. IT doesn't really matter I am sure we will still finish 3rd and that would be seen as something to celebrate. then the talking of signings can begin as season ticket renewal notices go out.

I think in fairness, people will renew their season tickets regardless of what they are or are not promised

Arsenal is part of their life regardless of how things are going on the pitch.
