But we all know that with the current squad, we should have won the league but for a top striker.

Why not make that priority fucking number 1. 80m, bang. Intent. Sell Walcott, sell Chamberlain, sell the other toss. Get 50% of that back.

Nope. We'll just sign loads of 20m nearly men. Yes, I know he won the league....but really, Vardy?

Anyway. Fuck it, I'm getting pissed and listening to heavy guitar based music.

    Night.

Are we sure of that, with Wenger in charge? We were also left with Flamini for a lot of games last season and given the injuries we pick up, I totally get the Xhaka signing - he could well be the best CM we have in the team if he lives up to the praise. Too many times we've left our defence exposed and not had control of games because of our middle pair were weak. We sell Walcott and Chamberlain we'll need replacements, so it's all a juggling act. We're not City or Chelsea when it comes to paying the really stupid prices for obvious reasons. Not happy with Vardy potentially coming here either but I'm not sure there is a lot available in our price bracket.

Our manage is not capable of building a side anymore. He needs top fucking quality all over the park able to do it themselves.

Vardy, Welbz, Giroud etc are not those players.

We sign Vardy, we're already accepting also-ran status. That jug eared bbc cunt is right.
    He's right though.

There's no point wasting an summer chasing impossible targets like Suarez, Lewandowski, Benzema or Aubyemang for that matter. That's what screwed over Man Utd the past two seasons and what kind of screwed us last summer with our quixotic quest for Benzema.

The more I think about it the more I would like this signing PROVIDED as has been already mentioned Wenger changes the style of play to suit his strength, i.e. no more tippy tappy.

The Vardy #afc deal poised and ready to go. Clause in process of being met, then talks and if (always an if) it happens it'll be done quick.

It was reported today that Man Utd had what would been a world record bid for Muller rejected.

You can throw 80 million around but clubs like Real, Bayern, Barca etc aren't in any need to sell and nor would those player necessarily want to take a step down to come here. It'd be a waste of time.

I can't see that happening after all these years, tearing up the modern Wenger training manual. That's a huge shift in mentality in a very short space of time, made worse by the shortened pre-season with the Euro's. So buying a player whose success is built on directness and pace doesn't make any sense on the surface. Unless he has actually gone bonkers.

Well tbf it's not like Wenger isn't familiar with that style having used it so effectively when he first joined.

He's already scrapping a lot of his recent ideology just by signing Vardy (or at least attempting to), a player who he wouldn't even had a second look at 5 years ago so maybe things have finally changed?

They also went all out to sign Ramos but Real weren't bothered, regardless of the price. Players at big clubs are difficult to get hold of, esp Strikers are they are hard to find.

Real Madrid had a massive offer from PSG for Ronaldo but because they couldn't find a replacement they said no to the cash.

Aubameyang is the one I really want us to sign, ticks all the boxes.
