Not that surprised, I mean who is very keen and doesn't have other clubs after him would make a decision pretty quickly, clearly he's not that keen.

I'm happy enough though, didn't want him here, but we'll no doubt drag it out all summer pretending we're hopeful of signing even when he says he wants to stay at Leicsester.

Me too, he'll do us a favour if he turns us down, though anyone that argues that our stock hasn't fallen when a guy of his level turns us down would be deluded.

Fallen since when? Since Sanchez joined?
Every case is individual, you can't infer anything from any singular case - unless you have some anti-Arsenal agenda of course which obviously no-one on here would have. Obviously.

If we were to get Mkhitaryan plus an upgrade on Giroud by the end of the summer I'd be happy. Certainly won't be losing any sleep over Vardy, although its a little bit embarrassing this whole saga has been played out in public.

Problem is though, who actually is out there right now? I'd love to see us throw in a big bid for Aubameyang but unlikely he'd chose us if City are knocking at his door. Is Higuin an option? I'm not convinced about either Morata or Lukaku.

I think he's a special case. We'll sign someone else. Time will only tell if our stock has fallen. I doubt it. We'll still lose out to the bigger clubs if we try to go toe to toe with them but I can't see a player choosing Liverpool or Spurs before they choose us.

No True, I think Man United is a different case though....i think a year ago even with their obscene Adidas money they would lose out to us, but even without Champions League money that psychopath Mourinho is a big drawer for players.

But yes although we are behind the two manchester clubs for definite, chelsea it is debatable although they have more money to spend and liverpool and spurs i think most players would rather sign for us than them.

Remember, it's been played out in public by the media whose interests it serves best.

Everything we've relied on so far is based on conjecture. I'm sure the bid is real, as there is rarely this much noise around a potential transfer without some truth but nothing beyond imaginary time deadlines and percentages. There is not a lot happening in the market and won't until after the Euro's when it will go mental, so this is perfect to elongate and create clicks and meaningless stories before the tournament kicks off.

Sanchez had two choices, Liverpool and us, both sides aren't particularly attractive propositions, but Liverpool at the time were even lower so it was an easy choice, he was surplus to requirmements at Barca.

But my point stands, I don't want Vardy here as I don't rate him so I'm happy enough, but when a player of his standard turns us down it doesn't say a lot about us.

I still think our stock has fallen, 10 years ago these players would have dropped everything to sign for us, now they have to think about it and turn us down. Suarez at Liverpool was another example, he could have pushed through a deal but chose to stick with it (despite the alleged clause), 10 years ago we'd have got him.
