Mertersacker looks shit as well. He did some blocks and interceptions, but some of his judgement is dreadful, and his lack of pace is worrying. There was one moment when he let a goal kick go over his head and Bale missed a great chance. Arteta also looks a waste of space tbh, and Benayoun is proving to be exactly what I expected, a washed up has-been.
