I thought Oxlade, Cazorla and Xhaka would all start. A bit surprising.
He seems to be matching energy and pace with energy and pace. I think possession might be a struggle without Xhaka and Cazorla. One of them at least being in the team gives you some control and technical consistency. Relying on Elneny to do it all now.
The bench is really strong though, even with Bif, Welbeck, Ozil, Koscielny, BFG and Gabriel out.

Sure Xhaka would have started, but Wenger seems to be the only manager who will buy a player and not just throw them on at the start of the season. Mour started with his new signings and Ibra scores.
If nothing else it would get the fans going, our new big money signing. I just never get the man
I feel a bit sorry for Holding. No doubt he'll be excited about starting for Arsenal in the PL. But if he was anywhere near the required level yet he wouldn't have been helping his previous team get relegated. If he's badly exposed today then he'll have to be a strong character for it not to finish him before he starts. Hopefully the fans are patient with him. It's not his fault Wenger is clueless.
