We wouldn't get anybody in in time to play now anyway. Even if we had bought somebody on the quiet, it would still be risky playing someone without a gelling in process.

I could not understand why Gibbs was not playing v Liverpool with Monreal at CB with Chambers. Surely he will go with this rather than put Holding back in the team, if Kos is not risked???
I thought Holding was pretty good.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
My head's going funny with this game and the permutations of it. Yes, it's only three points. Would a win, however, paper over the cracks?
A draw would stop the rot. (And it IS a rot. 1 game in and no significant transfer activity for a team who were 2nd last season. The teams in 4th and 6th have done more to try and win the league this season)
A defeat and the daggers would be out against Wenger and Gazidis. The atmosphere would be toxic ahead of the next home game. Maybe, just maybe, that's what we need?

I don't know why any fan would want a loss. It helps nothing and it will not change Gazidis and Wenger being here. If a win papers over the cracks, then that would mean losing again and again becomes more beneficial and that makes no sense at all. It just increases the misery and gloom around the club. I'm worried about today but as ever hope we win.
Win, lose or draw - it doesn't matter. We'll still need a striker and a centre back, Wenger will still be past it, the board will still be cunts and we'll all be miserable until we see tangible change.
