Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has hit back at Clive Allen’s claim that Arsene Wenger is ‘two bob’.
The pair clashed after the final whistle following Tottenham's 2-1 win over their north London rivals at White Hart Lane, with the Frenchman appearing to snub Allen’s approach after the match.
"He refused to shake my hand," the former Spurs striker said. "He says he didn't see me or hear me - but he's two bob he is, two bob."
“
A few times in the past, and I’ve been privy to it, he’s goaded Arsene Wenger, certainly in Martin Jol’s time [at Tottenham]

But Keown claims the Spurs development coach was trying to goad Wenger and believes Allen should have known better.
“I think there’s a little bit of history with Clive Allen,” Keown said. “A few times in the past, and I’ve been privy to it, he’s goaded Arsene Wenger, certainly in Martin Jol’s time [at Tottenham].
“I think Wenger was just trying to avoid him really, feeling as he was after that game, and I think Clive was just trying to push the point.
“He wanted a bit of eye contact because he’s just won a game or just been part of the team that’s won a game. Clive should know better really.
“You’re looking for him to be above all that, let’s hope he is in the future.”
