I guess. At that speed though, seemed a little harsh. I'll take it.

    Half time. 0-1

    sure enough...
Thought it was a pel, harsh sending off IMO.
Nothing harsh about it. He deliberately stuck out his hand to prevent a goalbound shot.

    As clear as mud.

More surprise the ref had the balls and sense to give it.

Good half, well deserved lead, should be more.

Make it 2-0 and three points are sorted.

Why didn't Cazorla take the penalty?

Seems odd with him having scored 2 in the previous games.

I thought it was harsh because he was so close.
I never like red cards given when a penalty is. The team awarded the pen has a chance to score (In theory, Alexis... ) so why punish them again by having to play the whole rest of the game a man down?

More interesting half than usual, but mainly because we've gone to plan B - pub mode. We've been awful, but not as bad as Hull who are simply dire. Ozil well below his usual standards again. Alexis really isn't a striker. We've blown gold plated chances, but that's totally normal. The defence is all over the place, again normal. The midfield is one paced but at least they are playing towards the opposition goal today. Walnut - fucking hell, what a joke of a player. Which leaves Iwobi. Not bad. He seems to want to get on with it and win, which is novel.

WUMger having a laugh with the team selection as usual. I suppose he'll drag Iwobi off as an encore.

That applies to 'genuine' attempts to win the ball. Cynical acts like today still mean a dismissal.

    Pretty harsh assessment.
