He's lost to him a few times on clay this season, problem with Federer seems to be a mental one...whenever he plays Nadal these days it's almost like he reaches a point where he starts to think he just can't beat him. You can see him playing some desperate shots and moving towards the net when he shouldn't.

Nadal doesn't have that over Djokovic.

Those wins were like pre season friendlies though.

Come to the important stuff, as expected, Djokovic comes up short.

These 2 are the best players around and arguably 2 of the best ever.

True but then Djokovic also won the Australian which is a major.

I agree those two are arguably the best ever (there's a few others like Sampras etc who might have a case too though) but Nadal hasn't been at his best, Federer played well in the semi though, hasn't performed since the set point in the 1st though.

Ever since he missed that his game has been littered with errors.

His serve and backhand (two things which were really good in the semi) have really been missing this match.

Federer has always had problems with his backhand. Against lesser players, he can get away with it misfiring, but against Nadal, you need everything to be 100% and then wish Nadal has an off day.

No unforced errors so far in this set from Nadal . No chance for anyone with those stats.
