Why couldnt we rely on him for a full season? He did that last season with WHU. And if its about a gamble, I think Arteta was a bigger gamble than Parker.. same board and manager that gave Rosicky a contract extension after doing fuck all for 4 seasons!
He can't be later sold for a profit. He'd represent a real investment in the team rather than a investment for profit that could be loaded onto the share value. So a non-starter really, given our board is 100% focused on personal gain. I do agree though, a serious miss in the summer and even worse he's ended up at one of our major rivals for the euro spot.
