I am sure he must have thrown himself at the ball but I am sure most players including Chamakh has thrown themselves at the ball!

He does seem better than Sagna offensively and that is because of his crossing. As for being delighted at the club, which 19 year old from League 1 wouldnt be? Shoot his mouth off in newspapers- well, he is not half as important for the papers to even talk to him about shooting his mouth! If he improves like he looks like he is, he will soon be shouting his mouth off, no worries about that!

I do think he will get better but no way should he be starting for a top 10 team right now. He is very promising and probably will become a great right back but he is nowhere near as good as you make him to be.
I knew you could take every point, turn it around and slaughter the kid if you put your mind to it. My advert, your hit piece, my summary - he adds a whole new dimension to the right, your summary, he can cross but let's not talk about how he ends up in the position to be able to cross. Probably luck, every time. In those desperate penalty box scrambles we often have we used to stand around helplessly watching events unfold. Now you'll see at least 1 of 3 guys fighting the limits of bone and muscle to get just one toe on the ball. TV, Kos and CJ. And I have a feeling Merts will get there too once he's a bit more settled. He's a well established German international btw, and we have a Brazilian international at left back. Neither has settled as quickly as Jenkinson. It's just a fact. I was wrong about Kos, I watched him, thought he was shite and a liability, I knew he had heart but I didn't think that was going to be enough. Turns out I was 100% wrong. Happens sometimes. I now have a choice to try to defend my error or to just come out and give the guy some encouragement (because all the lads come here regularly to see what I'm writing about them - fact). So I give Kos the credit he's earned, after all he was absolutely superb and almost single handedly got us that clean sheet against Marseilles. Now it's time for people to give Jenks the recognition for what he's achieved so far. Has he won the CL? No. Has he been flung into a team in crisis and helped steady a ship that was on the verge of capsizing? Yes. So do we keep saying he's shite and all he can do is cross a ball? Well we could I suppose.

Chamakh is reaching the end of his career, what you see right now is the pinnacle. That's scary bad.

1945: At long last, Gervinho scores his first goal of the finals. And he does it the hard way, running from inside his own half after beating Berthe on the halfway line. That said, there was no challenge on the Ivorian forward as he ran 55 yards or so before curling into the far corner from a tight angle. Great finish, great goal - but terrible defending.
Why cant he do that for us?
