Not so sure about Gervinho as a striker. He doesn't have the movement and his finishing is suspect.
I think we'd have to change formation if RVP got injured. I can't see anyone playing well as a lone striker. Maybe Arshavin and Gervinho up front, or Park/Theo and Arshavin.

Bendy is better than Chamakh and we should have sold him rather than let Bendy go. He'd at least get us 10 goals a season.
Players needed in Jan
Back up keeper - If anything happens to Szdcxbsdjbny then we're fucked cos the other 3 we have are arguably the worst around.
Back up RB - With Sagna dead for a while, we dont have a very good option there in the squad.
Back up CB - Mert and Verm are fine. The back ups arent. Cahill is a must get here
First choice LB - Santos cant defend although good going forward. Gibbs is dead. Need someone who can attack and defend. Jose Enrique anyone? Wenger
DMs - Happy enough with Song and Coq for now and should he be needed and lets hope hes not then Frimpong as crap as he is is an adequate 3rd choice DM as all he'll do is go round fouling people ala Essien, Savage and others of that ilk.
CMs/AMs - Goetze and Hazard are better than anyone we have in these positions
Striker - Im not one whos too concerned for when RVP is injured for months later in the season. Last time that happened, Chamakh came in and did very well with a run in the team. Not so good when hes hardly played and then put in though. Could do with a striker but not a priority.
So by that reckoning, that 6 players needed, most only as back up. Could be 7 if we get a striker but as i said, its not that big a deal
Think we need a striker, attacking midfielder and cover for the defense. Happy enough with the general make up of our team but think we'll struggle with a midfield of Wilshere-Song-Arteta against top teams. Another striker is a must, one VP injury and our season is over. Think Park could do a job when needed but not sure how he'll be if we have to rely on him for goals for an extended period of time.
Would be surprised if Wenger doesn't get someone in defense given that our right side is completely fucked and Gibbs is injured more often than not, someone like Chivu would be a good buy to cover while the youngster develop.
