All sarcasm/snarky comments aside, I would love it if we signed Carroll for £35m. The money doesn't really matter...£15m, £80m whatever - if you have the budget to sign a player and he's the player you want, then get him. No questions are asked now of Rooney's £30m. Or even Alex Chamberlain's £12m or whatever it was. He'd probably get more game time than he is at Liverpool. Very underrated striker.
Make it so, Arsene.
A lot of people questioned AOC's move.. I still question it! Not because I dont rate him.. boy is a gem but at 12 million quid, he was very expensive not to be used in the games. He is 100 times more effective offensively than Theo and Gervinho combined. I will not bring Arshavin because he is just a fat fuck and absolutely clueless and a huge liability.
We really dont know the amount we have paid so far. As for the total amount, I have read 15 million quid as being the final amount. Even in terms of paying based on appearances and milestones, 15 million quid for a player from league 1 was a lot for him not to be starting... we couldve used a lot of that money to buy an established
international.
But apparently there's still a fuckload of money to spend because the board are supplying money but Wenger's not spending, right? So what difference does it make whether we signed AOC?
Anyway, he'll obviously start featuring regularly quite soon - probably when Gerv goes away in Jan.
