I guess the concerm springs from the way that Mertesacker pulled up yesterday. If he gets injured that leaves us with a back four of Miguel, Vermaelen, Squillaci and Kos and no spares

And that's a fairly shit situation. It has to be coped with though; injuries happen. However if we're buying someone because they are better than what we have, then I have no problem with that.

We're probably scouting all over Europe, as expected, but that obviously won't immediately translate into a transfer. We can talk about Podolski (probs off to Schalke), Reus (probs to Bayern or Dortmund) or Ederitzo (Porto want him , and I've never heard of him, but he's on a free so probably more likely), but let's just hope AW earns his money by spending money.

I thought Taiwo on loan could've been a possibility but AC won't want to help the side they're facing in the CL. As it's obvious Gibbs will be on his summer holidays from January. Right now, we need a full-back, cellotape to stop Diaby, Gibbs etc falling apart, and a striker. Possibly a creative midfielder too as we rely too much on Theo and Gervinho to support RVP. Ramsey and co aren't creative enough through the middle of the pitch.

Get a decent amount of German football over and the two Germans Podolski and Reus have bwen looking very good in games and wouls be great additions. . .a little too high profile though so we'd be lucky to see them!

Don't see the problem if its a loan, were not going to buy a LB lets be honset, so thoughts of getting Baines etc should be put out of peoples heads.
