Ha ha ha Villa cunts
Also, Hutton is down there with Paul Robinson (the Bolton edition) as the scurge of the Prem.
I'm baffled at how overnight Ramsey has become a first team starter. He has potential but he is not ready yet to start games week in week out, plus he's not an attacking midfielder, he's a deeper box to box cmf.
Rosicky/Benayoun should be starting as the most advanced midfielder, experience should win out on this particular issue.
Think Arteta kept the ball well. He clearly didn't want to try risky passes ahead to players like Frimpong, who was positionally woeful and unable to trap passes under any modicum of pressure. You could see the ambition in his passing was raised when Rosicky and Benayoun came on - he trusts those players to have basic technique. He was easily the best of the midfield three today. He played pragmatically, but his sidewards and backwards passes were important to relieve pressure. It's much different to when Denilson used to do it (because Arteta's technique is superior and his work ethic is fantastic).
Coquelin did well in the second half, didn't dive in as much but was poor positionally and made forward runs when they weren't necessary, leaving us short at the back. Koscielny and Szczesny were brilliant. Thought that in the tough opening period Mertesacker was excellent, anticipating well. Typically, their goal will be classed as his error, when it was a combination of a poor Vermaelen header along with his indecision.
Song's return (and rest) vs. Wolves is a welcome one and thankfully we didn't drop points in his absence. A vital part of the team. As many have said Gervinho wasn't involved as much today, neither was Theo (but less so), as Frimpong in the middle dropped the tempo and opportunity to play the quick, early pass into those two.
Just seen the score.
