Theres a stat that Arteta as set up more chances than Mata and Silva this season, and in the last couple of games, I've seen stats that he's passed the most in the attacking third or in a match out of everyone who played. I think he's grown into the position, he's no ball carrier the way Silva and Fabregas are, but he knows what hes doing. Think we still need a CAM playmaker.

I watched the game. It was Vermaelen shite ass weak header to Mertesacker that was cut off by Albrigton. No defender would have got to that pass before Albrighton
just seen the RVP "dive" what a load of total crap. is there anyway you can appeal a yellow card as that one was a fucking joke. how the fuck was that a dive?

Although Vermaelen did sell him short Mertersacker should maybe have done better, maybe a better defender would have. Vermaelen has been great recently though as well definitely our best defender this season.
Mertersacker is one of those players you know has an error in him, he doesn't seem the solid dependable defender, he is pretty slow and doesn't exactly think ahead of the game like Adams did for example.
