Shotton could become a good player, I mean, I have no idea about his talent levels but being relegated to just chucking them in is a sad waste of anybody's career. At least it took Delap many years before he was subjected to that.
There will be a few dissenting voices but he's so tightly linked to the club they will probably accept him being worse than other managers they might have had and just dress it up as the rigours of being a 'work in progress'.
