He was useful and a threat. In the last few months he just turned into a fanny like Theo. Chamakh was very useful when he joined. Then he turned into the penis he is now. I wouldn't write Gervinho off just yet but he could just be this season's Chamakh.

He was still as hit-and-miss as he was earlier in the season. Which means he was still a fluctuating threat within games. Which means he was useful.

Chamakh started well and died. Gervinho started decently and stayed at that level. His only problem is his finishing. He's fannyness stayed the same.

As awful as Gervinho is at finishing, he has been a huge miss for us. He gives the team balance and provides a constant threat. You've seen what Arshavin and Walcott have brought to the table in his absence.

He is about three thousand and fifty two times better than Walcott.

Gervinho was very good at taking a defender on out-wide and getting a decent pass in - which was what he was good for. But I don't remember him doing that in recent months. Thankfully we'll find out soon when he takes AOC's place in the team.

It's not a coincidence that we have been incredibly awful without both Arteta and Gervinho recently.

Unless he's fucked after his Ivory Coast duties, I'm pretty sure the difference to the team will be visible instantly.
