The rest of it, talent-wise, has been more than capable of winning trophies, leagues etc.

I agreed with the approach of developing youth.

Wenger gave us Cesc ffs. And RVP. And countless other talented players....and that is over the last few years.

People going "I told you so" are talking, in he most part, out of their arses, as the teams we have had, have been very good teams, lacking in a few areas, for which Wenger and the board, are ultimately responsible for. I.e. Buying when we needed a boost, and sorting out tactics (especially in defence), when they needed to be sorted out, rather than trusting to chance.

The back end of last season, going into this current one, is the issue. Because we lost Fabregas and Nasri. Before we lost them, we needed to replace Denilson, Bender and a few others with more quality. But we took further steps backwards in the quality department, and lost those players too. I don't necessarily like Ceac of Nasri....as the game they play isn't one I like in terms of English football...but they were good players, nonetheless.

Santos, Merts, Arteta and Gervinho. Together with AOC, are all decent signings. They gave us some balance, and for a bit this season, we have looked much better. More of a team.

But the constant errors of judgement by our manager, the refusal to spend, and the inability of the whole of AFC to look any further ahead than their own wallets is biting hard. It's soul destroying.

But; The last five years? "I told you so?"

    Fuck off.
Whats frustating is last year we only needed a world class striker and a keeper and we'd have won the league, this year we have both but inbertween seems to be missing, its like we can't seem to get the balance right. I could understand if we neeeded a handful of players to progress but we only need 2-3 and we'd be up there.

I don't know what goes on upstairs, but do believe the manager is covering for the board for a reason only known to him. I just wish he could be more honest with us for a change, i just want to know what is really going on.

Regardless of what happens, Wenger is going to remain as much associated by what he has done for this Club for generations to come. When he arrived, he revolutionised our game and brought most of us here the most incredible moments we will have in our lives as football fans. Memories most sets if fans will never come close to experiencing.

His time has passed, he needs to go, and if he can't be persuaded, he needs to be sacked.

For what he has done, he deserves respect and not to be labelled a cunt.

Alof of that is said in frustation though, if we went on to win the CL you know the same people would be sucking his dick and saying how great he is etc.

Charlie, that is NOT going to happen. No prospect whatsoever. This isn't being reactionary, but this team are simply mentally and physically incapable of winning the CL and the same is probably true of the FA Cup.

And while I do think Wenger needs to move on (for his own good if nothing else), unless the board all sod off too I'm not sure how much difference it will make.

I genuinely cant wait for Chamakh to come back as at least you know he is shitty and you expect little from him, i am sick of knowing how good this lot can be and then feeling let down when they under perform.

As Arseblog said this morning the weaknesses that were shown in the team last night just compound the sillyness of not buying anyone in January we needed another striker and a wide player with tricks.

    |Also taking he Ox off instead of Walcott is shocking yet again from the manager. Little things about Wenger i used to put up with because we were winning are now becoming seriously annoying as we arent winning. The subs, the tactics, the bullshit, the lack of motivation and so on

i agree with this. why would a new manager suddenly get a fuck load of money to spend on players unless it means wenger is lying to us and board are right.

also on GB point, yes it is now time for wenger to go, but i will actually be sad to see him go, because of what he has done for us overall. greatest manager in our history and deserves taht respect but still time to go

Wenger is making such basic errors it's really an irrelevance whether we 'have a fuck load of money' to spend or not.
