I'll try not to. Difference between Henry and Walcott = Henry consistently beat his man on the right wing even if it took him a while to start scoring goals...I really see Walcott as a CF but I think that is definitely the main thing he has to work on before he'll get his chance upfront.

I love the idea that Wenger's only been playing Walcott exclusively on the wing to keep Bendtner happy when he only gets to play on the wing too.

Levante have made an offer to buy Pedro Botelho, who Wenger has told will not be in the first-team squad next season. They've also offered to loan Wellington for another season.

It's a shame really, I'd heard a few good things about Pedro, but obviously he's not quite up to scratch.

    In addition:

    - Wenger has made a formal enquiry about French duo Raphael Varane and Emmanuel Riviere.

    - New boy Hector Bellerin scored for Spain U-17s in a 6-0 thrashing of Tajikistan.

    - Wenger will give Jenkinson and Bartley chances to prove themselves in pre-season, the latter mainly to decide whether or not he will be better off returning to Rangers next season.

Didn't Wenger play Henry on the left while at Monaco? This is wiki, I don't know for sure, but Wenger likes to play right footers on the left. I think that makes it easier to score goals. When through on goal you can bend it around the keeper. Theo would find it easier playing on the left IMO.

Yes - Henry was a winger until he moved to the Arsenal and then Wenger made him into a CF.

Cesc never said that he wants to stay.. he just said that he is happy to be at Arsenal. He also mentioned that anything can happen in the world of football.

Bottom line, he is waiting for Barca to come in with some real money and take him back home..

What will happen in the end? Barca will try to force us to sell for cheap.. we wont, he'll stay and sulk all of next season and fuck off the next.. FACT!

I think it is interesting that Eden Hazard has been mentioned - he is def one signing I would actually be slightly excited about. I'd spend all the money we'd get from the sale of Bendtner, Clichy and Denilson on this guy and throw in Chamakh to Lille. Gervinho is less interesting to me - he'll be off to the AcON in Jan-Feb and I am just tired of that. 15 goals a season is no better than Bendtner either. Spurs can have him.
Tbh, Walcott's inability to beat his man when there isn't enough space to push it past him and run is almost an argument to move him upfront, running through onto passes and holding the ball up (something he actually does pretty well) could be more useful there than shunted out wide.

Arseblog doing a FB thing on whether we should ship Vela out or keep hold.

Really haven't seen enough of him to judge. He's obviously very skillful, but has never done anything when it matters.....hmmm
