I want a add 3-4 quality players to add to the side we've currently got. You could try and get them cheaper, based on there contract or club situation, but when you consider going rate for players like Young, Bent and Carroll, it normally wouldn't be asking for much for a supposedly *big club*.
If we could get those types of players for less then so be it, but for every Hernandez, there's a Rooney, berbatov, for every vidic or kompany, there's a ferdinhand or a toure.
