I reckon, he'll probably be able to get them challenging or top four at least though with his ego he certainly won't be lasting more than three years max before he has a public falling out with someone (probably Ferguson) and is shown the door.
Can't see him performing miracles with Utd's piss poor squad either and winning the league.
Mind you, he's probably exactly what Utd need right now, someone to stop the decline, install discipline and order and keep them in the running before a true long term solution like Klopp or Simeone becomes available. So in that sense it's probably a good appointment for them.
