Isn't it time they used Snicko? I mean not on its own but when it backs up something shown on HotSpot or whatever, like both of them have to be suggesting the same thing for any decision to be made/overturned.

The problem with introducing technology to a place where it hadn't often been used...nobody really knows how to best use it. I'd be third umpire, how hard it can be?

Snicko takes about 3-4 minutes to come up after it is called. Apparently that sorry state of affairs is being looked at, finally. It is probably the most foolproof of the available methods...

I think the ICC should let the inventors of the systems come up with a plan on how to use it. Clearly the 'elite panel' cannot make heads or tails of it.

i think i agree with vaughan. get specialist third umpires trained up. take some of the on field ones we have now, so they have the expereince of being out in the middle, but train them so they only third umpires. taht way we have specialist umpires in charge of DRS rather then on field umpires who might just want to back up their mates on the field to an extent
