Funny old league with some very poor teams in it, including everyone from position 3 down. The argument from the pundits is the general quality across the league has improved which is why the top teams are finding it more difficult. And yet we move into the last few games with the whole lower section of the table containing clubs that could still go down. Certainly an argument the quality has evened out but not a convincing argument it has improved. Then there's the evidence of the games themselves which puts a nail in the pundits' coffin. Wigan could beat us, the chavs could lack the heart for the tough schedule they have coming up, the spuds could choke as they usually do. Top 3 isn't settled yet but I wonder what the team who finished third can claim in terms of achievement having been so soundly beaten by the Manchester clubs and having struggled so hard against generally declining standards? I think we'll squeak 4th by a point.

    Of course we will.

And we'll go through the same charade next year.

    It's really tiresome.

It's not hope, we need Chelsea to win, which means they won't.

It's very unlikely, but even City could end up getting dragged into the squabble for the champions league if they have a mare end of season. They could still theoretically finish 5th.

In our hands now with two abysmal teams left to face.

    Come on you Gunners.

Outside chance of 3rd as well, but we'll need to call in Agent Benteke.
